St. Luke’s had the privilege to have a presence at HCA’s Annual Agency Fair at Centennial Park. Their Agency Fair is way for HCA employees to learn about non-profit agencies in the Nashville area that they may choose from to do volunteer work. We set up a booth with our tri-fold display board of photographs of our programs and distributed literature describing our programs and volunteer opportunities. HCA employees perused the isles giving gold coins to their favorite agencies, which then translated into financial donations from HCA. HCA will be sending a group of self-selected employees to do a group volunteer project in our Child Development Center coming up on Sep. 23rd for their HCA Community Day outreach. HCA, a neighbor to St. Luke’s just down Charlotte Pike by a mile, is a strong supporter of our work to help low income working families, seniors, and individuals in West Nashville achieve their potential and prevent problems that threaten the stability of families and community, and we’re very appreciative of this corporate relationship.
