Child & Youth Programs

Preschool Program
St. Luke's offers a sliding-scale licensed preschool program with a focus on Kindergarten readiness. Our preschool has been rated 3 Stars by the Tennessee Department of Human Services Star-Quality rating system. The preschool accepts children from 6 weeks of age through 5 years (pre-Kindergarten). St. Luke's preschool offers the Read to Succeed curriculum and staffs a full-time literacy coordinator to lead the program.

The preschool is open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Children are provided a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack each day.

Applications for the preschool are available by clicking here. There is usually a waiting list for all ages, and guardians can learn their place on that list after their application is submitted.

After School Program
In partnership with Youth Encouragement Services, St. Luke's provides after school activities for ages 6 to 18. Y.E.S. offers tutoring, a basketball league, job skills training, and recreational and cultural activities. Students come to Y.E.S. after school and may stay until 5:30 pm.

A $25 registration fee is required for each school year. Scholarships available.

Youth Encouragement Services switches gears in the summertime to offer a weekday program for ages 6 to 18. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every weekday, Y.E.S. provides a safe place to play, relax, participate in sports, develop relational skills and learn moral values. Every child also gets to spend a week away from the city at a summer camp in Joelton, Tennessee.

A $25 registration fee is required for each school year. Scholarships available.
